Mr. Senaka Amarasuriya began his career in the tea industry at Bartleet & Co. Ltd in 1980, where he was engaged in broking operations until 1986. He subsequently joined two leading tea exporting companies — M/S. Hebtulabhoy & Co. Ltd and Stassen Exports Ltd — where he served until 1998.
Over the years, Mr. Amarasuriya has gained extensive experience in tea trading and developed a deep understanding of international market requirements for Ceylon Tea. In 1998, he joined Forbes & Walker Ltd, specializing in managing their Low Grown tea clientele. Before assuming his current position, he held the role of Director at Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers (Pvt) Ltd.
With more than four decades of experience across multiple facets of the tea industry, Mr. Amarasuriya brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to his role as Director and CEO and also serves on the Board of Directors of Asiya siyaka.
